Equipment

Ingredients

  • 500 g Potatoes Maris Piper or Rooster work well
  • 1 tablespoon Oil

Instructions

  • Peel and chop the potatoes into chips, approx 1cm thick.
  • Soak the pre cut chips in water for at least 30 minutes to let the starch escape. The water will go cloudy when this is taking place.
  • Drain away the water and dry off the chips with a tea towel or kitchen roll
  • Set up the air fryer (use the crisp plate in the Ninja Foodi). Preheat the Air Fryer to 200℃ (takes about 5 minutes to get to temperature)
  • Mix the oil with the chips and ensure they are all covered. Then put the chips in the air fryer.
  • Cook them for 20-25 minutes, shaking them up about half way through cooking to ensure even heat.
  • When cooking is complete, they should be crispy and best served with ketchup.

Notes

Don't put too many chips in the air fryer, if it gets over loaded then they will not crisp up.
