Main Quiche

  • 5 eggs
  • 1 cup self raising flour
  • 1 cup grated cheese
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • Pinch Salt and pepper

Optional

  • 1 Cup Chopped ham
  • 1 Cup Bacon
  • 1 Cup Halved cherry tomatoes

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 160℃/320℉/Gas Mark 3 for at least 15 minutes.
    Line a cake tin with baking paper in the bottom. Grease the walls of the cake tin with butter or olive oil.
  • Mix all the ingredients together in a large bowl. Then pour into the cake tin and spread evenly.
    5 eggs, 1 cup self raising flour, 1 cup grated cheese, 1 cup diced onion, Pinch Salt and pepper, 1 Cup Chopped ham, 1 Cup Bacon, 1 Cup Halved cherry tomatoes
  • Bake in the oven for 45 minutes at 160℃/320℉/Gas Mark 3.
    Allow to cool and then serve!

Notes

This is one cup as it's all equal parts for the measurements, but if you want actual weights then here you go:
1 cup flour = 125g
1 cup grated cheese = 100g (Cheddar, loosely packed)
1 cup milk = 250ml
1 cup chopped vegetables = around 150g, depending on what you're using
US recipes use a 240ml cup, so the gap is small but worth knowing if you're following a US measuring cup.
I recommend letting this cool for a few minutes before slicing up. You can eat the quiche hot or cold.
It works well as a side dish too. Cut into buffet sized (bite size) pieces which can be eaten in one go for a BBQ side dish.
